Liora became interested in wine while working in the hospitality industry. After several trips to wine growing areas across Europe it became obvious that she wanted to work with wine as a sommelier. In 2010 Liora found her calling and since then it has been all about the grapes!

Liora works actively with developing new markets for Star Wine List expanding the guide to new countries and cities.

Wine First is an award winning tv-show focusing on wine. Liora travels the wine world together with Swedish somm Maya Samuelsson and Argentine foodie Yolanda Año where they give wine the attention and let the food come in second hand. In each episode a local chef is challenged to cook dishes that match the wine and not the other way around.

Liora regularly conducts wine tastings for A-kortet, Aftenposten's members club. Learn about renowned grapes such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon as well as regions such as Burgundy, Piedmonte and Tuscany.

Liora holds the titles Best Sommelier of Norway (2013) and the Nordics (2012). While life as a competing sommelier is over, she has continued to actively promote the profession as President of the Norwegian Sommelier Association from 2018 to 2024.

Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI) is the global sommelier association which organises continental and world competitions and the ASI Diploma amongst other things. Liora has since 2017 been active in the marketing committee and is to be seen "all over the place" at events.

After spilling wine all over the kitchen counter on live TV, Liora surprisingly landed the job as TV2's wine expert on the Breakfast show. Don't miss it - anything can happen on live TV! She is currently recording the tv-series Wine First! To be aired on PBS (US) in fall 2020.
